Materials Needed:
Playing time on this one of the funniest party games for adults ranges from 30 to 45 minutes.
How to Play:
1. While making your guest list for the party, select five or six people to be special guests: someone who moved away, someone who is visiting, someone who just got out of the hospital, and so on.
2. Ask the special guests to arrive at the party half an hour early to prepare for their parts. Have them write a short script, offering clues to their identity, a short anecdote or funny story to share, and anything else that might intrigued your guests. Keep the special guests out of sight as the other guests arrive.
3. At game time, draw a curtain across a doorway, so the special guests can stand behind it without being seen by the other players.
4. Distribute paper and pencils.
5. Have the first special guest stand behind the curtain and read his or her script using a disguised voice.
6. Tell the rest of the players to write down who they think the person is.
7. When the special guest is finished talking, let the players shout out their guesses. Then reveal the special guest to see who was right.
Variation:
If you have connections to a famous person, include them in the special guest group for an added surprise.
