Watch your guests dance with the flows as they try to keep up with the ever-changing music on this dance party game for couples or even singles.
Materials Needed:
Materials Needed:
- A variety of music, such as classical, rock, country, Irish folk, Russian folk, flamenco, zydeco, square dance, waltz, big band, and so on
- Cassette or CD player
- Dance floor
Playing time on this one of the most exciting adult party games can range from 45 minutes to 1 hour.
How to Play:
1. Select a variety of dance-appropriate music, such as classical music for the minuet, country music, and so on.
2. Play the first musical selection without telling the couples (or singles) what the dance style is. Tell them that after they hear the first few notes, they must begin dancing the appropriate dance.
3. After a few minutes, change the music to another style and have the dancers change their dancing accordingly. Anyone who doesn't do some semblance of the appropriate dance is out.
4. Continue until all the music has been played or until only one or two dancers remain on the dance floor.
5. Award a prize to the most versatile dancer.
Variation:
Have a "snowball" dance: Begin with one couple for the first dance, then have them each find a new partner for the next dance, and so on, constantly increasing the number of dancers on the dance floor. Make sure that with each new dance, the dancers adjust the dance style to the music.
